- Accenture's advanced AI work reached more than 400 first-time clients in fiscal 2026.
- Management guided to 3% to 6% fiscal 2027 revenue growth in local currency.
- AI services must offset pricing pressure and slower growth in the existing business.
Accenture's AI strategy is gaining operational scale, but the growth outlook remains measured. In an October 7 analysis, Trefis reported that the consulting group expanded advanced AI work while guiding to 3% to 6% revenue growth in local currency for fiscal 2027.
AI Demand Broadens Across Clients
Accenture said bookings tied to eight newer data and AI partners more than tripled in fiscal 2026, while revenue from that group more than doubled. More than 400 clients began their first advanced AI project with the company during the year.
The company also expanded its AI and data workforce to nearly 110,000 professionals, exceeding its earlier goal of 80,000. Accenture has added model-safety work to the strategy, including an agreement announced in September 2026 to evaluate models for Anthropic.
Growth Still Depends On Execution
The financial effect of the new services has not yet transformed the overall outlook. Accenture generated USD 74.2 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue, while its fiscal 2027 guidance calls for local-currency growth of 3% to 6%, compared with 5% in fiscal 2026.
Acquisitions are expected to contribute 2% to 2.5% of fiscal 2027 revenue growth. That leaves the established business responsible for most of the guidance range. The analysis also reported that management sees continued demand for large deals, while pricing was lower across many areas in the fourth quarter even though pricing was stable for fiscal 2026 overall.
Accenture is committing USD 1 billion over five years to develop its model-safety operation. For investors, the central question is whether new AI projects can expand faster than automation reduces or makes existing consulting work cheaper.
