Adidas stock rises as record quarter lifts 2026 outlook

- adidas delivered record third-quarter revenue and operating profit, with apparel and direct-to-consumer sales leading growth.
- Europe remained the main regional weakness as conservative wholesale shipments and promotional pressure weighed on sales.
- The company raised its 2026 operating-profit outlook while planning further investment to improve future operating leverage.
adidas delivered record third-quarter results on October 29, 2026, and raised its full-year operating-profit outlook. The adidas Group reported record revenue of 7.252 billion euros and operating profit of 1.008 billion euros for the quarter.
Record growth meets regional pressure
Revenue increased 9 percent year over year, while currency-neutral revenue rose 7 percent. Operating profit jumped 37 percent, lifting the operating margin to 13.9 percent, and net income from continuing operations increased 48 percent to 711 million euros.
Apparel revenue rose 19 percent on a currency-neutral basis and direct-to-consumer sales increased 17 percent. Footwear revenue was flat as adidas kept wholesale shipments conservative to protect full-price sales in a promotional market.
Europe was the exception to the broader regional strength, with revenue down 4 percent. High inventory levels, promotional activity in lifestyle footwear and the timing of wholesale deliveries after an SAP migration weighed on the region, while adidas expects high-single-digit European growth in the fourth quarter.
Higher guidance includes temporary support
adidas now expects currency-neutral revenue growth of 9 percent to 10 percent in 2026 and operating profit of around 2.5 billion euros, up from around 2.3 billion euros previously. A tariff refund of around 200 million euros supported gross-margin improvement, alongside healthy full-price sales and a favorable channel mix. The company also plans to reinvest around 100 million euros in the fourth quarter to strengthen future operating leverage.
Since the previous report on October 29, the Lang & Schwarz quote has risen 4.68 percent from 162.05 euros. The real-time quote of Adidas stock shows 169.63 euros at 14:37 CEST on Friday, October 30, 1.48 percent above the Xetra close of Thursday, October 29, at 167.15 euros.
