Alphabet stock traded at 248.25 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 16:33 CET on Tuesday, November 3, after slipping 2.60 percent from the 254.88-euro quote in the latest own report published on Monday, November 2. The move provides a fresh market signal for the second report, while the latest company figures continue to frame the investment debate.

Cloud growth leads the quarter

Alphabet announced its third-quarter results on October 28 for the period ended September 30. In its earnings call, management said consolidated revenue rose 25 percent to 127.6 billion US dollars, marking a thirteenth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.

Google Cloud was the strongest growth engine. Revenue increased 103 percent to 30.7 billion US dollars, while Cloud operating income more than tripled year over year to 11.1 billion US dollars. Cloud backlog reached 561 billion US dollars, with just over 55 percent expected to be recognized as revenue over the next 24 months.

AI spending raises cash pressure

Alphabet's investment cycle remains central for shareholders. Capital expenditure reached 51.4 billion US dollars in the third quarter, and free cash flow was negative 9.1 billion US dollars. The company attributed the pressure to infrastructure investment, inventory build for TPU systems and a 5.2 billion US-dollar payment related to a European Commission fine.

Management kept its full-year 2026 capital expenditure outlook at 195 billion to 205 billion US dollars, while signaling a significant increase in 2027. That outlook leaves investors weighing the pace of AI demand against depreciation, infrastructure capacity and near-term cash conversion.

Alphabet said the Gemini app had reached one billion users, while first-party model APIs processed nearly 32 billion tokens per minute. The company also said it would expand advertising in AI Mode internationally and introduce multi-turn ads in the United States.
