Altria Group, Inc. raised its 2026 adjusted earnings outlook on Thursday, October 29, after third-quarter adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 4.8 percent year over year. The company's investor-relations release also provides fresh operating detail on smoke-free products and cigarette volumes.

What has changed since the last report

Altria said Helix expanded its on! PLUS portfolio with Blueberry Mint and Mango Pineapple across 6-, 9- and 12-milligram nicotine strengths. The company plans another Watermelon Mint expansion in selected retail locations during the fourth quarter, adding a concrete product milestone to the wider shift toward smoke-free nicotine products.

The operating picture remains mixed. Smokeable-products adjusted operating companies income rose 3.9 percent in the third quarter, supported by pricing and higher refunds of taxes and duties paid on imported cigarettes. Domestic cigarette shipment volume nevertheless fell 2.9 percent, while adjusted operating companies income in oral tobacco products declined 3.7 percent.
