- Third-quarter revenue rose 9.2 percent, while net income increased 14.4 percent year over year.
- Order intake reached more than 2 billion euros for the eighth consecutive quarter, led by Hydropower and Metals.
- ANDRITZ kept its 2026 revenue and comparable EBITA margin guidance unchanged.
ANDRITZ reported stronger third-quarter revenue and earnings on October 29, 2026, while its order backlog reached a record high. The group also maintained its full-year forecast, keeping the focus on execution and demand in Hydropower, Metals and other industrial markets.
According to the ANDRITZ newsroom, third-quarter revenue rose 9.2 percent to 2,059.6 million euros from 1,886.9 million euros a year earlier. Comparable EBITA increased 10.3 percent to 184.9 million euros, while the comparable margin held at 9.0 percent versus 8.9 percent. Net income including non-controlling interests climbed 14.4 percent to 127.3 million euros.
Hydropower Drives Industrial Demand
Quarterly order intake was 2,166.2 million euros, slightly below the 2,180.0 million euros recorded in the year-earlier period. Even so, it marked the eighth consecutive quarter above the 2 billion euro threshold. Order intake for the first nine months rose 17.1 percent to 8,085.9 million euros.
Hydropower provided the strongest boost. Its order intake increased 34.2 percent to 703.9 million euros, supported by projects involving plant modernization, generators and pumped-storage equipment. Metals order intake rose 20.8 percent to 357.4 million euros. Pulp & Paper was weaker, with order intake down 24.5 percent to 706.8 million euros following an especially strong comparison quarter. Environment & Energy order intake fell 6.1 percent to 398.1 million euros.
The order backlog stood at 12,729.1 million euros on September 30, 2026, up 21.7 percent from the end of 2025 and a record for the company. The backlog gives ANDRITZ visibility as projects move into revenue, although the timing of large industrial orders can make quarterly intake uneven.
Guidance Remains Unchanged
ANDRITZ continues to expect 2026 revenue of 8.0 billion to 8.3 billion euros and a comparable EBITA margin between 8.7 percent and 9.1 percent. The company expects project activity to remain at a high level. Its medium-term targets, presented at the October Capital Markets Day, call for revenue of 10 billion euros and a comparable EBITA margin of 10 percent by 2029.
CEO Joachim Schönbeck said the group would continue improving performance and converting its strong backlog into profitable growth. For investors, the combination of a record backlog and rising Hydropower demand supports revenue visibility, while weaker Pulp & Paper intake and the project-based nature of the business remain factors to monitor.
