On September 25, 2026, ArcelorMittal said it could not restart operations at its Ukrainian subsidiary ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih in a safe and sustainable manner after four missile strikes over five weeks. The company said the attacks claimed five lives and injured 17 employees, with one employee remaining in critical condition.
ArcelorMittal said it had provided more than US$700 million to support continuity at the subsidiary and expected to record an approximately US$1 billion non-cash impairment charge, principally related to property, plant and equipment at Kryvyi Rih.
