- Arista posted its strongest year-over-year revenue growth since its initial public offering.
- Fourth-quarter guidance exceeded the market outlook for both revenue and adjusted earnings.
- Management linked broad customer momentum to demand for generative and agentic AI networking.
Arista Networks reported third-quarter results on Tuesday, November 3, after the U.S. market close, delivering revenue growth that management described as its strongest since the company's initial public offering. The results came from the quarter ended September 30 and were released in an Arista Networks financial release.
AI demand lifts quarterly performance
Revenue reached 3.66 billion US dollars, up 58.5 percent from the year-earlier quarter and 20.5 percent from the second quarter. The result exceeded Arista's own quarterly guidance of 3.3 billion US dollars, while the company said demand remained broad across customer sectors.
GAAP diluted earnings per share came to 1.22 US dollars, compared with 0.67 US dollars a year earlier. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share reached 1.20 US dollars, up from 0.77 US dollars in the prior-year period. GAAP operating margin was 44.9 percent, while the non-GAAP operating margin was 49.1 percent.
Chief Executive Jayshree Ullal said the company had achieved record profitability and greater relevance in the generative and agentic artificial intelligence era. Arista also highlighted open Ethernet rack-scale architectures for scale-up and scale-out AI fabrics, developed with partners including AMD, Arm, Broadcom, Meta, Microsoft and Qualcomm.
Fourth-quarter outlook stays above expectations
For the fourth quarter, Arista expects revenue between 3.9 billion and 4.0 billion US dollars. The company forecasts a non-GAAP operating margin of 48 to 49 percent and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of 1.26 to 1.30 US dollars. The guidance excludes items such as stock-based compensation, intangible-asset amortization and selected tax effects.
The outlook gives investors a fresh measure of whether AI infrastructure spending can sustain Arista's unusually strong expansion. It also keeps attention on supply constraints, product costs and customer concentration, which the company lists among the factors that could affect future results.
