Bharti Airtel stock traded near its 52-week low after Q1 growth
Published on 10/04/2026 at 16:28 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSBharti Airtel stock was last at INR 1,741.10 on the NSE on October 1, 2026, only 0.87 percent above its 52-week low of INR 1,726.05. The June-quarter figures provide the stronger company signal: revenue increased 18.4 percent year over year to INR 585.39 billion, according to DSIJ in its August 6, 2026 research update.
Q1 growth reaches the bottom line
Bharti Airtel's adjusted profit after tax rose 35.5 percent year over year to INR 80.57 billion in Q1 FY27, while EBITDA increased 19.6 percent to INR 333.03 billion. The EBITDA margin reached 56.9 percent, an increase of 61 basis points, according to DSIJ.
The key operating metric was India wireless ARPU at INR 264 in Q1 FY27, up 2.7 percent from the prior quarter and 5.4 percent from the year-earlier period. India wireless revenue reached INR 299.29 billion, up 9.2 percent year over year, while the 4G and 5G data customer base rose to 301.8 million, as reported by DSIJ.
Analyst target stays above the stock
ICICI Direct Research retained its Buy rating and published a target price of INR 2,350 in an August 6, 2026 result update. The broker also estimated FY27 consolidated operating income of INR 2,395.91 billion and FY27 EBITDA of INR 1,373.27 billion, according to DSIJ.
The estimate rests on higher customer value rather than subscriber growth alone. ICICI Direct projected ARPU to reach INR 311 by FY28, based on a potential 10 percent tariff increase in the second half of FY27; that is a forecast, not a reported result.
Apple bundle broadens postpaid value
Bharti Airtel also added iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade to family postpaid plans priced at INR 999 and above. The offer covers cloud storage, entertainment and gaming services, and was reported from an exchange filing by ANI on September 22, 2026. The move gives Airtel another way to increase the value of higher-priced plans while the company works to lift ARPU.
Stock stays close to yearly low
Bharti Airtel stock was last at INR 1,741.10 on the NSE on October 1, 2026, down 0.90 percent from INR 1,757.00. The 52-week range was INR 1,726.05 to INR 2,174.70, leaving the stock 19.94 percent below its yearly high.
