BYD Company stock traded at 7.99 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:38 Berlin time on Monday, November 2, 2026, 2.04 percent above the Xetra close of Friday, October 30, at 7.83 euros. Investors can follow the real-time quote of BYD Company stock.
Profit growth misses expectations
BYD's third-quarter results on October 29 showed net profit rising 28 percent year on year to CNY 10 billion, according to a Reuters report cited by AD HOC NEWS. The increase fell short of broker estimates ranging from CNY 11.4 billion to CNY 12.95 billion.
Revenue offered a stronger signal, increasing 13.6 percent year on year to CNY 221.5 billion. That ended a four-quarter run of declines and marked a recovery in the top line, although the earnings miss keeps pressure on margins and pricing power.
Exports offset domestic pressure
International sales are becoming more important to the investment case as competition remains intense in China's electric-vehicle market. Strong export growth helped cushion weaker domestic demand, giving BYD a growth lever beyond its home market.
BYD operates across new-energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, electronics and photovoltaics. Investors will therefore be watching whether overseas expansion can continue to support volume while profitability catches up with revenue growth.
