Retail Sales Lead the Quarter
Physical-store sales increased 25 percent, while e-commerce sales declined 4 percent. MODIVO PLATFORM said the online weakness was mainly linked to the continuing change in Modivo.com's business model, which is intended to improve profitability.
CCC segment sales increased 16 percent, including 4 percent like-for-like growth. HalfPrice sales rose 41 percent, with comparable sales up 10 percent, while Modivo sales declined 6 percent as the digital platform continued to be reshaped.
Margins Improve, Earnings Remain Mixed
Gross margin increased by 5.5 percentage points to 51.4 percent. The company attributed the improvement to its product offering, earlier inventory optimization and stronger full-price sales. CCC's gross margin rose to 60.1 percent, HalfPrice's to 50.9 percent and Modivo.com's to 43 percent.
Reported group EBITDA reached 372 million Polish zloty, 2.1 percent below the analyst consensus cited by Puls Biznesu. Adjusted EBITDA reached 450 million Polish zloty after one-off adjustments, up 48 percent from the comparable period. Operating profit remained under pressure from other operating costs, particularly foreign-exchange differences.
Full Report Sets the Next Test
Worldbox's performance improved, although the chain still reduced group EBITDA by 9 million Polish zloty in the quarter. MODIVO PLATFORM also opened nine ShockPrice stores, which management said were performing in line with the concept's initial assumptions.
The preliminary figures give investors an early view of sales momentum and margin quality. The full consolidated report for fiscal third-quarter 2026/27 is scheduled for November 27, when operating profit, cash generation and the durability of the margin gains can be assessed in greater detail.
