Continental received original-equipment approval for the new Volkswagen ID. Cross on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The approval gives the tire maker a factory-fit program for Volkswagen's all-electric compact SUV, according to Continental.
Three tire options for Volkswagen
The ID. Cross leaves the factory on Continental's EcoContact 7 summer tire in 17-, 18- and 19-inch sizes. Volkswagen recommends the WinterContact TS 870 P for colder months and the 18-inch AllSeasonContact 2 for drivers seeking a year-round tire.
The approved fitments include three EcoContact 7 sizes: 225/55 R17 97T FR, 225/50 R18 95V and 225/45 R19 92T FR. The AllSeasonContact 2 and WinterContact TS 870 P are approved in 215/50 R18 96T XL. Continental said the tire lines are approved for the ID. Cross in numerous countries.
