CSL and Alentis Therapeutics announced on October 5, 2026, that they had entered an exclusive global collaboration to co-develop and co-promote lixudebart for kidney, liver and other diseases. The announcement was published by CSL’s newsroom.
CSL will make an initial payment of US$355 million to Alentis, which may receive up to an additional US$1.2 billion in commercial milestone payments. CSL will fully fund the ongoing Phase 2 RENAL trial, planned Phase 3 work in ANCA-associated vasculitis with rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, and Phase 2 trials in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis.
The partnership
Lixudebart is being evaluated in the Phase 2 RENAL trial. Under the agreement, CSL and Alentis will jointly develop and co-promote the therapy. If commercialized, global profits will be shared 55 percent by CSL and 45 percent by Alentis.
