In a release published by Delivery Hero on October 28, the Berlin-based group reported faster growth and raised its full-year outlook across all four key metrics.

Q3 growth accelerates across the platform

Like-for-like gross merchandise value rose 13.6 percent year over year to 13.9 billion euros in the third quarter, compared with 11.3 percent growth in the second quarter. Revenue increased 22.0 percent to 4.35 billion euros from 3.53 billion euros a year earlier, accelerating from 17.7 percent in the previous quarter.

Orders reached 1.001 billion, marking the first quarter above one billion. Subscribers generated 51 percent of group GMV, up 13 percentage points from a year earlier, while customers using several verticals accounted for 62 percent, an increase of 6 percentage points.

Quick commerce remained the main growth engine. Its GMV rose 39 percent year over year and represented 19 percent of group GMV, up 4 percentage points. Delivery Hero said it opened close to 90 Dmarts during 2026, taking the operating total to about 900.

Higher targets raise execution demands

Delivery Hero lifted its 2026 guidance to like-for-like GMV growth of 10 to 12 percent from 9 to 11 percent previously. The revenue target increased to 18 to 20 percent from 17 to 19 percent. Adjusted EBITDA guidance moved to 980 million to 1.02 billion euros from 960 million to 1.00 billion euros, while free cash flow guidance rose to more than 300 million euros from more than 250 million euros.

Management linked the stronger outlook to improving customer experience, higher order volumes and the expansion of quick commerce. Chief Executive Niklas Östberg said the company had reached more than one billion quarterly orders, while Chief Financial Officer Marie-Anne Popp said the faster growth was flowing through to profitability.

Uber offer sets the next catalyst

Uber is offering 41.50 euros in cash per share, and the acceptance period runs through November 5. Delivery Hero and Uber are expected to continue operating independently until completion, which the company expects in the second half of 2027 if regulatory and other customary conditions are met.

The offer therefore remains the central event for the share. The current quotation is below the cash consideration, reflecting the time until settlement and the remaining approval conditions rather than a completed transaction. The failed sale of foodpanda Taiwan to Grab is a separate development; Delivery Hero said the business continues to operate normally and that a break-fee arrangement applies.
