DHL Group (ISIN DE0005552004) was trading at EUR 57.59 at Lang & Schwarz on October 19, 2026 at 9:14 a.m. CEST, down 1.08 percent versus the Xetra close of October 16, 2026 at EUR 58.22. DHL Group raised its full-year 2026 reported EBIT outlook on October 16, 2026, after preliminary third-quarter figures showed stronger operating momentum.
Why did guidance rise?
Reported Group EBIT is now expected to exceed EUR 7.00 billion, up from more than EUR 6.50 billion previously, according to the company release dated October 16, 2026. The outlook for the DHL divisions increased to more than EUR 6.40 billion from more than EUR 5.90 billion, while the Post and Parcel Germany target remained above EUR 900.00 million.
The change also lifts the full-year free cash flow outlook excluding net mergers and acquisitions to more than EUR 3.20 billion from around EUR 3.00 billion. Capital expenditure is now expected at around EUR 3.60 billion, compared with a previous range of EUR 3.00 billion to EUR 3.30 billion.
What drives the upgrade?
Express is the clearest operating driver in the preliminary third-quarter update. DHL said group revenue increased more than 12 percent year over year in the third quarter of 2026, while reported Group EBIT reached around EUR 1.71 billion, compared with EUR 1.48 billion a year earlier.
The latest reported half-year figures provide a second benchmark. DHL Group reported H1 2026 revenue of EUR 42.79 billion and EBIT of EUR 3.34 billion, up from EUR 40.63 billion and EUR 2.80 billion in H1 2025.
When are the next dates?
The full third-quarter report is scheduled for November 5, 2026, and management plans to review its mid-term EBIT guidance in March 2027, according to DHL Group. The updated annual target therefore arrives before the next complete quarterly report, leaving the November figures as the next test of the Express-led improvement.
