- Elmos secured additional Dortmund wafer capacity through at least 2028.
- An Elmos team reached the final of the 2026 German IT Security Award with a quantum random number generator project.
- Elmos is scheduled to report third-quarter results on November 10, 2026.
Elmos Semiconductor has secured additional wafer capacity at its Dortmund facility through at least 2028, giving the automotive chipmaker greater supply visibility as demand for high-voltage semiconductor production expands. Evertiq reported the agreement on November 2 and said the added access complements Elmos' arrangements with foundry partners.
Supply Security Supports Expansion
The agreement strengthens Elmos' fabless manufacturing model by combining established Dortmund capacity with external production partners. The company said the additional access improves supply resilience and positions it to address rising demand for wafer manufacturing linked to automotive applications, data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The announcement gives investors a clearer view of production access, but it does not establish future revenue or margin growth. Those outcomes will depend on customer demand, utilization and the conversion of automotive programs into volume production.
Quantum Project Reaches Final
Elmos also gained visibility outside its core automotive positioning during the week. A company team was among eight finalists for the 2026 German IT Security Award, selected from 48 submissions, according to Ruhr University Bochum's Horst Goertz Institute. The project focuses on a quantum random number generator for cryptographic applications. The winners were due to be announced in Bochum on November 5.
Results Set The Next Test
Elmos is scheduled to publish its third-quarter results on November 10, according to comdirect. The report will give investors the next regular update on demand, margins and the effect of recent design activity on the business.
