Enel's operating performance strengthened in the first nine months of 2026, while its Spanish subsidiary Endesa raised the quality of earnings and maintained its full-year outlook. Enel stock traded at 9.33 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:47 CET on Saturday, October 31, 0.21 percent above the Xetra close of Friday, October 30.
According to VermögensZentrum, Enel's nine-month consolidated power production rose 5.4 percent year over year to 146,822 gigawatt-hours. Installed capacity increased 1.8 percent to 93,232 megawatts, while electricity distributed climbed 4.6 percent to 373,100 gigawatt-hours. Liberalized retail electricity sales declined 8.2 percent to 109,700 gigawatt-hours.
Endesa confirms profit trajectory
Endesa said on October 28 that nine-month net profit rose 15 percent to 1,962 million euros, while EBITDA increased 8.4 percent to 4,577 million euros. The company confirmed that ordinary net profit should exceed 2,400 million euros in 2026. Gross investment rose 19.4 percent to 1,622 million euros, with distribution-grid investment up 42 percent.
Endesa's figures provide an operating signal for Enel ahead of the group's own results. The subsidiary is part of Enel, and its investment focus on regulated grids supports the group's exposure to electrification and network expansion. Endesa will present an updated strategic plan in February 2027.
November results are next catalyst
Enel is scheduled to report its results for the first nine months of 2026 on November 11. Investors will focus on whether higher production and distribution volumes translate into earnings growth and how management assesses demand, investment and retail sales.
