Higher Targets And Polish Expansion
On October 30, Erste Group reported net profit of 3.095 billion euros for the first nine months of 2026 and raised several full-year targets. Reuters said third-quarter net profit reached 1.12 billion euros, above the average analyst forecast cited in its report.
The group now targets loan volumes above 290 billion euros in 2026 and expects net interest income excluding Erste Bank Polska to grow by more than 6 percent. It also started the voluntary tender offer for shares in Erste Bank Polska, where Erste currently holds 49 percent. Settlement is expected in December, subject to sufficient participation and regulatory conditions.
