- Eurofins reported 5.614 billion euros of revenue for the first nine months, up 3.7 percent year on year.
- Organic growth improved sequentially from 2.5 percent in the first quarter to 3.5 percent in the third quarter.
- The group kept its 2026 profitability and cash-flow objectives and retained its 24 percent adjusted EBITDA margin target for 2027.
Eurofins Scientific reported improving organic growth through the first nine months of 2026, while lowering its full-year organic-growth ambition. In a press release published on Wednesday, October 21, the testing group said slower market conditions and delayed clinical programs would keep full-year organic growth below its previous mid-single-digit objective.
The update came with a stronger quarterly trend. Eurofins generated 5.614 billion euros of revenue in the first nine months, up 3.7 percent from the same period of 2025. Organic growth reached 3.0 percent for the period, with foreign-exchange movements reducing reported growth by 1.7 percentage points and discontinued or divested activities reducing it by a further 0.7 percentage points.
Quarterly momentum improves
Organic growth increased from 2.5 percent in the first quarter to 3.0 percent in the second and 3.5 percent in the third. Including the adjustment for public working days, the quarterly rates were 2.6 percent, 2.9 percent and 3.2 percent.
The third-quarter improvement included broad-based acceleration in BioPharma. Product Testing delivered mid-single-digit growth, while Discovery and Genomics returned to positive growth. Eurofins also reported an expected improvement in contract development and manufacturing, although other ancillary activities remained mixed.
Regional performance remained uneven. Organic growth for the first nine months was 1.9 percent in Europe, 2.8 percent in North America and 9.3 percent in the rest of the world. The company said robust activity in food and feed testing and consumer product testing supported the latter region.
Lower growth, intact profit targets
Eurofins now expects 2026 organic growth to remain below its former mid-single-digit objective. The company said market conditions had stayed slower than normal after nine months and that some clinical programs expected to start in the fourth quarter would not restart during 2026.
The revised growth view does not change the group's profitability and cash-flow objectives. Eurofins expects its adjusted EBITDA margin to improve in 2026 from the 22.5 percent level recorded in 2025 and to continue moving toward the 24 percent target for 2027. Free cash flow is expected to grow, with strong cash conversion maintained.
Acquisitions provide a second growth lever. Revenue from acquisitions completed in 2026 is expected to exceed the previous annualized objective of 250 million euros. Eurofins said it had completed 22 acquisitions with 2025 revenue of more than 210 million euros, excluding the North American Life Sciences Testing Services business acquired from Element.
What investors watch next
Chief Executive Gilles Martin said the sequential improvement in growth was encouraging and linked the medium-term margin plan to strategic initiatives rather than external market conditions alone. He pointed to hub-and-spoke networks, new laboratories, productivity gains, cost savings and the completion of IT and digitalization projects as drivers for future performance.
Eurofins stock traded at 87.34 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:07 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The near-term investment case therefore combines stronger quarterly execution with a weaker organic-growth profile for 2026. The retained margin and cash-flow objectives, together with expected mid-single-digit organic growth in 2027, are the main operating milestones for investors following the group.
