Ferrovial has secured a new US infrastructure contract that adds a major water project to its construction pipeline. In a press release dated November 5, 2026, Ferrovial said it had been awarded a USD 537.9 million contract to deliver the Mary’s Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
Texas project expands US water footprint
Ferrovial’s US subsidiary Webber will build the greenfield facility, which is designed to process 10 million gallons of water per day. The plant will expand wastewater treatment capacity in western Fort Worth and provide reclaimed water for future industrial and irrigation use.
The scope includes storage basins, preliminary treatment, bioreactors, advanced wastewater treatment, solids handling, odor control and related electrical and control systems. The project will use advanced nutrient removal and membrane bioreactor technology.
What the award means for investors
Ferrovial described the contract as its largest US water infrastructure project to date. For investors, the award adds visibility to Webber’s US order pipeline and broadens the group’s exposure beyond roads and other transport infrastructure. The contract also supports Ferrovial’s stated focus on expanding its presence in the US.
Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and is expected to finish by summer 2030. The award therefore provides a multiyear delivery program, while execution, schedule discipline and future project margins remain key factors for the investment case.
