- FUCHS increased nine-month revenue by 16 percent and EBIT by 25 percent year on year.
- Management now expects full-year EBIT of around EUR 500 million and revenue of around EUR 4.1 billion.
- Free cash flow before acquisitions fell because inflation increased operating working capital.
FUCHS SE reported strong results for the first nine months of 2026 on Friday, October 30, and raised its full-year operating-profit outlook. The company said sales growth was supported by higher volumes and inflation, while earnings improved across all three global regions. The announcement was carried by EQS Newswire via Placera.
Fuchs Petrolub stock traded at EUR 44.43 on Lang & Schwarz at 10:08 CET on Friday, October 30. Investors were assessing the stronger earnings trend alongside management's warning that sales-volume growth may slow toward year-end.
Revenue and EBIT gain momentum
Sales revenue rose 16 percent to EUR 3.126 billion in the January-to-September period from EUR 2.700 billion a year earlier. EBIT increased 25 percent to EUR 409 million from EUR 326 million, lifting the EBIT margin to 13.1 percent from 12.1 percent.
Profit after tax climbed 23 percent to EUR 281 million. Earnings per preference share increased 24 percent to EUR 2.15 from EUR 1.74, while earnings per ordinary share reached EUR 2.14 compared with EUR 1.73 in the prior-year period.
Growth was broad-based. Revenue in Europe, the Middle East and Africa rose 17 percent to EUR 1.816 billion, while Asia-Pacific revenue increased 13 percent to EUR 859 million. Revenue in North and South America advanced 14 percent to EUR 593 million. The company said the full consolidation of its Turkish business since the end of April contributed approximately EUR 68 million to revenue.
Cash flow remains a concern
FUCHS generated EUR 92 million in free cash flow before acquisitions, down from EUR 181 million in the first nine months of 2025. The company attributed the decline mainly to higher operating working capital resulting from substantially higher purchase and sales prices.
Regional earnings nevertheless strengthened. EBIT rose 15 percent in EMEA to EUR 196 million, 28 percent in Asia-Pacific to EUR 131 million and 42 percent in the Americas to EUR 81 million. Asia-Pacific benefited in part from a one-time EUR 7 million gain from the sale of land in Australia during the first quarter.
Full-year outlook moves higher
FUCHS now expects 2026 EBIT of around EUR 500 million, compared with its previous range of EUR 460 million to EUR 480 million. The company specified its revenue outlook at around EUR 4.1 billion, versus an earlier forecast of significantly more than EUR 3.7 billion. Its forecast for FUCHS Value Added is around EUR 300 million, while free cash flow before acquisitions is still expected to remain significantly below EUR 270 million.
Management expects revenue growth to continue in the fourth quarter, partly because of inflation. It also anticipates slower volume growth as pull-forward effects from the first half fade and seasonal factors take effect. FUCHS said geopolitical tensions, supply-chain disruption and rising costs for some base oils continue to create risks for sales and margins, adding that the strong third-quarter performance should not simply be extrapolated.
For investors, the update combines stronger profitability with a weaker cash conversion profile. The higher EBIT target supports the earnings case, while working-capital needs and the expected slowdown in volumes remain key factors for the final quarter.
