- Geberit reported currency-adjusted sales growth across all three product areas during the first nine months.
- Management kept its 2026 sales and EBITDA-margin outlook unchanged despite higher input costs.
- Fourth-quarter sales face tougher comparisons, while seasonal effects are expected to weigh on the margin.
Geberit reported continued volume-led growth in the first nine months of 2026, while keeping its full-year targets unchanged. The quarterly report was published on Tuesday, November 3, and the figures were carried by broad-based demand despite higher material, energy and freight costs.
According to MarketScreener, the company generated sales of CHF 2.535 billion in the first nine months, up 3.6 percent in Swiss francs and 5.7 percent after currency adjustments. Third-quarter sales rose 5.3 percent in Swiss francs to CHF 824 million.
Growth remains broad-based
Currency-adjusted sales increased in all three product areas: Installation and Flushing Systems grew 6.2 percent, Piping Systems 6.0 percent and Bathroom Systems 4.8 percent. Europe grew 5.0 percent, while the Middle East and Africa rose 20.4 percent and the Far East and Pacific advanced 9.4 percent. The company said this marked the tenth consecutive quarter of positive currency-adjusted sales growth.
Operating cashflow increased 3.3 percent to CHF 778 million, with an EBITDA margin of 30.7 percent compared with 30.8 percent a year earlier. Net income climbed 7.1 percent to CHF 529 million, while earnings per share rose 8.1 percent to CHF 16.23. Free cashflow slipped 2.8 percent to CHF 449 million as investment spending increased.
Outlook stays unchanged
Management continues to expect 2026 sales growth of 5 to 6 percent in local currencies and an EBITDA margin around the prior-year level. Geberit expects weaker sales development in the fourth quarter because of tougher comparisons, while seasonal effects normally reduce the EBITDA margin late in the year. Higher direct material, energy and freight costs remain key risks for margin protection.
