- Hermès reported third-quarter sales growth of 4.3% at constant exchange rates.
- Leather goods remained the strongest business, while watches and accessories weakened.
- Management reaffirmed its medium-term ambition for revenue growth at constant exchange rates.
Hermès International reported third-quarter sales growth of 4.3% at constant exchange rates on October 22, while management has now reached the October 29 opening date for its new Manhasset, New York, store. At Lang & Schwarz, the stock stood at EUR 1,268.25 on October 29, 2026, at 16:39 Berlin time.
The Manhasset opening is the latest operating milestone for the Americas, one of the group's strongest regions. Hermès said the U.S. business had returned to its earlier-year trend after a temporary slowdown in August and early September. The company also has a Craft in Time event planned in Miami and a fine-jewelry presentation in New York in November, according to the Q3 earnings-call discussion.
Leather Goods Lead a Divergent Mix
Hermès' third-quarter revenue reached EUR 4.096 billion, according to the company's third-quarter revenue release published by Nasdaq. Sales for the first nine months totaled EUR 12.260 billion, up 5.5% at constant exchange rates and 2.9% at current exchange rates.
The business mix remains uneven. Leather Goods and Saddlery grew 10.8% in the quarter at constant exchange rates to EUR 1.912 billion. Ready-to-wear and Accessories declined 2.0%, while Watches fell 6.0%. Perfume and Beauty increased 7.5% in the quarter.
China Remains a Key Watchpoint
Management said October trends had not changed from late in the third quarter, including in China. The slowdown seen in August and September continued without a further deterioration, although Hermès said it was too early to assess the full fourth-quarter impact. WWD reported that weaker Chinese demand was concentrated in higher-volume categories such as accessories, footwear and watches, while leather goods remained more resilient.
For investors, the update leaves Hermès with a strong core category and a supportive Americas expansion plan, but also with exposure to normalization in luxury demand. The company maintained its medium-term ambition for revenue growth at constant exchange rates without providing a specific full-year target.
