The Home Depot is entering the holiday season with a broad promotion and a technology push. On October 29, the retailer announced that its Black Friday Savings Event will run from November 5 through November 25 in stores and online. The company said the campaign will cover holiday decor, power tools, major appliances and other home-improvement products.
The Home Depot highlighted select buy-one-get-one power-tool offers from brands including RYOBI, Milwaukee and DEWALT. The promotion also includes discounts on seasonal decorations and additional savings on qualifying appliance purchases, with the maximum combined appliance discount reaching 1,250 US dollars.
The company is also considering how AI agents could search for and buy products on behalf of customers. In an October 28 interview reported by AOL, Chief Information Officer Angie Brown said Home Depot wants such agents to identify themselves and act on a customer's behalf. She also said the retailer has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing, where AI models are being used to help identify software issues.
