- Infosys raised second-quarter revenue and net profit year over year.
- Management lowered its FY27 constant-currency revenue growth forecast while keeping the operating-margin range unchanged.
- Large deal wins and stronger AI revenue provide operational support despite uneven client demand.
Infosys reported second-quarter results on Friday, October 23, 2026, showing stronger year-on-year revenue and profit but a more cautious outlook for the current fiscal year. The company published the figures in its official results release.
Revenue rises as guidance narrows
Revenue from operations increased 11 percent year over year in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, while consolidated net profit rose 6.2 percent. Sequentially, revenue advanced 2.14 percent and net profit was broadly stable.
The central investor concern was the revised FY27 outlook. Infosys now expects constant-currency revenue growth of 1 percent to 2 percent, compared with its previous range of 1.5 percent to 3 percent. The operating-margin guidance remained at 20 percent to 22 percent.
According to IANS, management pointed to demand from energy and utility clients and increased spending on artificial intelligence services. Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said large deal wins reached 5.2 billion US dollars, including a deal exceeding 2 billion US dollars. AI revenue accounted for 10.5 percent of total revenue and grew 29 percent sequentially.
AI momentum meets uneven demand
The combination of stronger AI-related activity and a lower full-year forecast leaves investors balancing two opposing signals. Contract wins may support future revenue conversion, while the reduced outlook points to limited near-term visibility in a market where clients continue to prioritize selected technology projects.
Infosys also declared an interim dividend of 26 Indian rupees per share. The record date was November 3, 2026, and payment was scheduled for November 11, 2026.
