- Fastweb+Vodafone's planned tower migration keeps Inwit's customer relationship under pressure.
- INWIT continues to contest the termination of its master services agreement.
Fastweb+Vodafone's planned exit from Inwit's tower network dominated the week to Friday, November 6, 2026. The dispute remains unresolved, leaving the timing and practical terms of any customer migration as the main issue for investors.
Swisscom's third-quarter presentation, reported by Repubblica on Thursday, November 5, said the agreement with Inwit remains fully effective through March 2028. The illustrative plan then envisages a multi-source migration, with completion in 2040 or later, while Fastweb+Vodafone and Telecom Italia pursue a joint venture for up to 6,000 new sites.
Contract terms remain contested
INWIT rejected the idea that the master services agreement's termination is settled. In comments carried by Alliance News on Friday, the tower company said the legal proceedings remain open and that any handover plan would have to be agreed between the parties.
INWIT also said that, if the termination were ultimately considered valid, Fastweb+Vodafone would have to return the sites in their entirety by March 31, 2031. The company disputed a unilateral, fragmented migration and said it has no agreement covering continued access to its infrastructure after that date. The competing timelines underline why the dispute carries longer-term implications for revenue visibility and network occupancy.
