- Microsoft reported strong fiscal first-quarter growth led by Azure and Microsoft Cloud.
- AI infrastructure demand is supporting expansion while increasing execution and capital-allocation pressure.
- Devices and Consumer revenue declined, leaving cloud and enterprise services as the main growth engine.
Microsoft stock traded at 492.60 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 16:06 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 6.86 percent above the Xetra close of Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 461.00 euros. Compared with the 460.53-euro quote in the previous report at 08:00:40 CET, the stock was up 6.97 percent.
That move follows Microsoft's fiscal first-quarter results, released on October 28 for the quarter ended September 30. In its Microsoft Investor Relations release, the company reported revenue of 92.3 billion US dollars, up 19 percent year over year, and GAAP net income of 36.6 billion US dollars, up 32 percent.
Cloud growth raises execution stakes
Microsoft Cloud revenue reached 63.9 billion US dollars, an increase of 30 percent. Azure revenue rose 48 percent, while commercial remaining performance obligations increased 73 percent to 677 billion US dollars. The figures point to strong demand for cloud and AI services, but they also raise the importance of converting infrastructure spending into durable returns.
The company said Agents and Infra revenue increased 25 percent to 76.8 billion US dollars. Devices and Consumer revenue moved in the opposite direction, falling 3 percent to 15.5 billion US dollars. For investors, the contrast leaves enterprise cloud services as the clearest near-term growth driver while legacy hardware-related activities remain weaker.
Microsoft said the reported GAAP result included a 207 million US dollar benefit from investments in OpenAI. On a non-GAAP basis, net income rose 18 percent and diluted earnings per share increased 18 percent, making the adjustment relevant when assessing underlying operating momentum.
The real-time quote of Microsoft stock remains the most direct way to follow the next market move.
