The move followed a new power infrastructure partnership announced on October 7, as The Korea Times reported that Nan Ya Plastics and LS Electric agreed to establish a joint venture with KHI.
Power venture adds a new growth lane
LS Electric will hold 50 percent of the venture, Nan Ya will hold 40 percent and KHI will hold 10 percent. The company will initially develop local bidding, engineering and technical-support capabilities for Taiwanese power projects, extending the cooperation beyond equipment supply.
The structure gives Nan Ya a direct role in project execution rather than limiting the group to manufacturing. The venture will combine LS Electric's power-equipment and design capabilities with Nan Ya's local production base and engineering, procurement and construction network, according to The Korea Times.
First-half figures show a sharp rebound
Nan Ya's consolidated revenue reached TWD 152.24 billion in the first half of 2026, up 16.0 percent from TWD 131.27 billion a year earlier. Operating profit rose to TWD 15.10 billion from TWD 1.34 billion, while gross margin increased to 16 percent from 8 percent, according to Quartr.
