The Swedish heating and climate technology group is approaching its November 17 interim report with sharply divided broker expectations. AD HOC NEWS reported on November 4 that DNB Carnegie raised its price target from SEK 48 to SEK 54 on October 7 and maintained a Buy rating. Morgan Stanley took the opposite view on October 9, cutting its target from SEK 47 to SEK 45 while retaining Equal Weight.
Recovery faces a broader test
The conflicting targets put the durability of NIBE's profit recovery at the center of the investment debate. Carnegie's higher objective signals greater confidence in the earnings trajectory, while Morgan Stanley's lower target reflects caution over the pace and breadth of improvement. The November figures will show whether the recovery extends beyond selected business areas.
NIBE's second-quarter backdrop was stronger. Revenue increased to SEK 10.85 billion, while earnings reached SEK 751 million and the profit margin stood at 6.92%, according to Yahoo Finance. Climate Solutions and Element provided the stronger operating momentum, whereas Stoves remained exposed to weaker demand, higher costs and US tariff pressure.
Estimates point to continued growth
Yahoo Finance lists an average revenue estimate of SEK 11.05 billion for the September 2026 quarter, compared with SEK 10.09 billion a year earlier. The estimate range runs from SEK 10.7 billion to SEK 11.27 billion, giving investors a clear benchmark for the next release. Revenue quality and margin development will matter alongside the headline figure.
The key question is whether improved profitability becomes more evenly distributed across NIBE's operations. A weaker Stoves contribution could limit the benefit of stronger demand or pricing in other divisions, while continued margin gains would strengthen the case behind the more constructive broker view.
November 17 sets the next checkpoint
The company update scheduled for November 17 will provide the next comparison for revenue, margins and business-area performance. Investors will also watch whether the company confirms the continued growth and profitability improvement described in its August 21 interim report.
Swedish industrial shares remain sensitive to economic conditions, interest rates and demand for energy-efficiency solutions across the OMXS30 market environment.
