Orlen stock gets a Baltic Power turbine milestone

Global Banking and Finance Review reported that Orlen and Northland Power completed installation of all 76 turbines at Poland's first offshore wind project on October 7, 2026.
Baltic Power reaches 76 turbines
The 1.1 GW facility is jointly owned by Orlen and Northland Power and is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2026. The project is backed by a 25-year contract-for-difference mechanism, while more than one-third of the turbines were already generating electricity after the first power reached the grid in July, according to Global Banking and Finance Review.
The milestone gives Orlen a concrete operating asset in its energy-transition program, but commissioning still separates turbine installation from full commercial output. That distinction matters because the project is expected to generate revenue under its contract only as it moves into regular operations.
Q2 profit supports investment
For the second quarter of 2026, ORLEN reported PLN 76.5 billion in revenue, PLN 13.9 billion in LIFO-based EBITDA and PLN 7.7 billion in net profit. Operating cash flow reached PLN 15.2 billion, while first-half capital expenditure totaled PLN 14.7 billion.
The composition of earnings is also changing: foreign service stations generated 43 percent of fuel-segment profits in Q2, an increase of 18 percentage points from a year earlier, according to ORLEN. The result links current cash generation with investments such as Baltic Power, LNG infrastructure and grid development.
Analysts see limited upside
The analyst consensus remains constructive but close to the market price. Investing.com lists a Buy consensus from 10 analysts, including 5 Buy, 3 Hold and 2 Sell ratings, with an average 12-month target of PLN 151.03. The high target is PLN 180 and the low target is PLN 103.
That average target lies 0.69 percent above PLN 150.00, so the consensus leaves little numerical distance between the October 7 market quote and the average forecast. The next company checkpoint is the third-quarter 2026 report, which ORLEN moved to November 5, 2026.
