Results show a mixed operating picture
Operating cash flow reached PLN 12.7 billion, while capital expenditure stood at PLN 7.8 billion. Net debt to EBITDA was -0.06x, underlining the group's reported balance-sheet position after the quarter.
Segment results were uneven. Downstream EBITDA LIFO was PLN 6.3 billion, Upstream & Supply contributed PLN 4.7 billion, Energy generated PLN 2.7 billion and Consumers & Products delivered PLN 1.5 billion. The presentation also showed crude oil throughput of 10.1 million tonnes and hydrocarbon production of 16.8 million barrels of oil equivalent.
LNG strategy broadens the outlook
ORLEN said on October 27 that it plans to open a Singapore LNG trading office in the first quarter of 2027. The office will operate within ORLEN LNG Trading and is intended to strengthen customer relationships in Asia while extending trading coverage across European and Asian time zones. The company also said LNG deliveries from the Plaquemines terminal under its Venture Global contract would begin in early November.
The Singapore plan gives investors a longer-term strategic theme alongside the quarterly figures. Its commercial contribution will depend on cargo availability, trading conditions and the group's ability to optimise its expanding LNG carrier fleet.
