Panasonic Holdings Corporation announced on October 21, 2026, that it had developed a world model for mobile work assistance. The research, conducted with Panasonic R&D Company of America and researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, is designed to help AI agents anticipate and assist with tasks on mobile devices. The announcement was published in a Panasonic Newsroom Global release.
Panasonic said the team created MobileWorld, a training dataset containing approximately 1.4 million examples, and MobileWorldBench, a benchmark for evaluating mobile-device agents. The world model predicts operation-related changes in natural language rather than reproducing screens pixel by pixel, according to the company.
