- PepsiCo raised its fiscal 2026 net revenue growth outlook while reducing its core earnings growth range.
- North American execution remains the main operating challenge as international businesses deliver stronger growth.
- Management plans additional investment and structural cost reductions while maintaining its shareholder-return plan.
PepsiCo's latest report shows a widening gap between sales growth and profit momentum. The company raised its fiscal 2026 net revenue growth outlook after third-quarter revenue increased, but reduced its core earnings growth expectations as pressure in North America continued.
Compared with the EUR 124.39 Lang & Schwarz quote in the previous report published on Tuesday, November 3, PepsiCo stock traded at EUR 127.90 on Lang & Schwarz at 17:01:39 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. That is an increase of 2.82 percent since the previous report.
Guidance Favors Sales Over Earnings
In its third-quarter results filing with the SEC dated October 8, PepsiCo reported revenue of USD 25.274 billion for the 12 weeks ended September 5, 2026, up 5.6 percent from the prior-year period. Organic revenue grew 3.1 percent, while core earnings per share increased 2 percent to USD 2.34.
PepsiCo now expects fiscal 2026 core EPS growth of 2.5 percent to 3.5 percent, compared with the low end of its previous 5 percent to 7 percent outlook. Core constant-currency EPS growth is expected at 1 percent to 2 percent, down from the previous low end of 4 percent to 6 percent.
North America Remains The Test
The company lifted its full-year net revenue growth outlook to approximately 6 percent from a previous range of 4 percent to 6 percent and expects organic revenue growth of approximately 3 percent. The SEC filing said core operating profit rose 3 percent, while core operating margin contracted 35 basis points to 16.9 percent.
PepsiCo said international businesses performed well, but North American execution remained uneven. North American beverage volume declined 2 percent in the quarter. Chief Executive Ramon Laguarta said the company would invest in innovation, brand building and marketplace execution while identifying additional structural cost reductions.
PepsiCo continues to target USD 8.9 billion in cash returns to shareholders for 2026, including USD 7.9 billion in dividends and USD 1 billion in share repurchases. The investment case therefore hinges on whether spending and cost actions can improve North American volume and margins without further weakening profit conversion.
