- Porsche lifted first-nine-month operating profit sharply despite lower revenue and deliveries.
- Management kept its 2026 guidance unchanged across revenue, margin and cash-flow targets.
- Executives expect 2027 to be a transitional trough year before the strategic plan takes effect.
Porsche AG delivered a sharp recovery in first-nine-month operating profit, but management has added a tougher reference point for investors: 2027 is expected to be a transitional trough year. The company kept its 2026 outlook unchanged after the results published on October 27.
Profit improves as volumes fall
Investing.com reported that Porsche generated EUR 25.3 billion in revenue in the first nine months of 2026, down about 6% year over year. Operating profit rose to EUR 1.7 billion from EUR 40 million, helped by pricing, product mix and lower strategic realignment costs.
Automotive net cash flow reached EUR 2.5 billion, while automotive net liquidity stood at EUR 8.2 billion at the end of the third quarter. The all-electric Cayenne helped battery-electric vehicles account for 22% of vehicle sales year to date, and revenue per vehicle increased to around EUR 126,000.
2027 becomes the next test
Management said 2027 will likely be weaker than 2026 because of lower volumes, the phase-out of the combustion-engine Macan and continued pressure in China. Weaker fixed-cost absorption is expected to weigh on profitability, while strategic realignment costs should decline to EUR 300 million to EUR 400 million.
Porsche did not provide formal 2027 guidance. Management plans to publish a detailed forecast with the annual results in March 2027. The company continues to target a medium-term operating return on sales of 10% to 15% for 2030 and 2031.
Share price remains under pressure
Porsche stock traded at EUR 46.05 on Lang & Schwarz at 17:50 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 0.78% below the Xetra close of Monday, November 2, at EUR 46.41. The real-time quote of Porsche AG stock remains closely tied to whether the profit recovery can offset weaker volumes and the expected 2027 trough.
