- Porsche AG lifted nine-month operating profit sharply despite lower deliveries and revenue.
- The company retained its 2026 targets while cash flow benefited from the Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group disposals.
- The planned MHP transaction adds a further step in Porsche's focus on core operations and artificial intelligence.
Porsche AG reported a sharp recovery in operating profit for the first nine months of 2026, while lower deliveries and revenue continued to underline the challenges facing the sports-car maker. The company also confirmed its full-year outlook and advanced the planned sale of its wholly owned consultancy subsidiary MHP to Tata Consultancy Services.
According to the Porsche AG press release published by WebWire on Tuesday, October 27, group revenue fell 5.9 percent year on year to 25.28 billion euros in the first nine months. Deliveries declined 16.0 percent to 178,532 vehicles. Operating profit, however, rose to 1.74 billion euros from 40 million euros a year earlier, lifting the operating return on sales to 6.9 percent from 0.2 percent.
Lower restructuring costs drive rebound
The profit comparison benefited materially from lower strategic realignment costs. Porsche reported approximately 500 million euros of such costs in the first nine months of 2026, compared with 2.7 billion euros in the prior-year period. Pricing and product mix also supported earnings despite the lower volume.
Automotive net cash flow increased to 2.50 billion euros from 1.34 billion euros. The completed sale of Porsche's stakes in Bugatti Rimac and the Rimac Group contributed cash inflow of 984 million euros and a gain of 593 million euros. Porsche said the transaction was completed in September.
MHP sale adds execution milestone
In August, Porsche agreed to sell MHP to Tata Consultancy Services. The companies plan a strategic collaboration covering digital solutions and artificial intelligence, subject to closing conditions. Completion is expected within the next 12 months. The transaction supports Porsche's stated focus on its core business, a more competitive cost structure and lower capital intensity.
Porsche retained its 2026 targets, including group revenue of 35 billion to 36 billion euros, an operating return on sales of 5.5 percent to 7.5 percent, an automotive EBITDA margin of 15 percent to 17 percent and a battery-electric delivery share of 24 percent to 26 percent.
