PVA TePla stock traded at 27.22 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:30 CET on Friday, November 6, 2.33 percent above the Xetra close of Thursday, November 5. The move followed the company's nine-month report, which showed record orders but weaker year-to-date profitability.

What has changed since our last report

Jefferies analyst Martin Comtesse lowered the firm's price target for PVA TePla to 47 euros from 48 euros on November 5, while retaining a Buy rating, according to Markets Insider. The adjustment adds a more cautious valuation signal to the strong order picture.

Orders lead the recovery

PVA TePla said in its EQS News release on November 5 that order intake reached 273.4 million euros in the first nine months of 2026, 55 percent above the prior-year period. The book-to-bill ratio rose to 1.50 from 1.01. Metrology order intake increased 76 percent to 148.4 million euros, while Material Solutions rose 36 percent to 125.0 million euros.

Revenue advanced 4 percent to 181.8 million euros in the first nine months. Third-quarter revenue rose 12 percent to 62.7 million euros, but nine-month EBITDA fell to 10.4 million euros from 18.7 million euros. The EBITDA margin declined to 5.7 percent from 10.7 percent, reflecting lower capacity utilization, strategic development costs, upfront expenses and first-half one-off effects of about 5 million euros.

Fourth quarter remains decisive

Quarterly profitability improved: third-quarter EBITDA reached 6.0 million euros, compared with 3.0 million euros in the second quarter, while the EBITDA margin rose to 9.6 percent. Management confirmed 2026 revenue guidance of 255 million to 275 million euros and expects EBITDA at the lower end of the original 26 million to 31 million euro range.

For investors, the key issue is whether the expanding order pipeline converts into revenue while Material Solutions utilization and group margins recover. The fourth-quarter delivery will provide the next test of that transition.
