- Third-quarter revenue rose 36 percent year over year, while non-GAAP diluted earnings per share increased 70 percent.
- Regeneron expanded its Sanofi alliance to four next-generation, long-acting antibodies.
- Management raised several 2026 cost and margin targets and expects a regulatory decision on cemdisiran in November.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals reported strong third-quarter results on Friday, October 30, 2026, and expanded its antibody alliance with Sanofi. In its third-quarter results release, the company said revenue for the period ended September 30 rose 36 percent year over year to 5.116 billion US dollars.
GAAP net income increased 33 percent to 1.949 billion US dollars, or 18.45 US dollars per diluted share. On a non-GAAP basis, net income reached 2.150 billion US dollars and diluted earnings per share rose 70 percent to 20.07 US dollars from 11.83 US dollars a year earlier. The adjusted figures exclude specified items including stock-based compensation, amortization and other reconciling effects.
Sanofi collaboration lifts revenue
Collaboration revenue was a central growth driver. Sanofi collaboration revenue reached 2.724 billion US dollars, up from 1.617 billion US dollars in the prior-year quarter. Regeneron's share of profits from antibody commercialization rose to 2.575 billion US dollars from 1.456 billion US dollars, helped by higher Dupixent-related profits and the full repayment of the Sanofi Development Balance at the end of the second quarter.
Dupixent global net sales, recorded by Sanofi, increased 35 percent to 6.5 billion US dollars. Regeneron also reported stronger product momentum for EYLEA HD and Libtayo: U.S. EYLEA HD sales rose 62 percent to 699 million US dollars, while global Libtayo sales climbed 51 percent to 550 million US dollars. Legacy U.S. EYLEA sales continued to decline as patients moved to the newer formulation.
Alliance broadens future options
In October, Regeneron and Sanofi amended their antibody collaboration to add four Regeneron-invented, next-generation, long-acting immunology antibodies. Regeneron received a 1.0 billion US dollar upfront payment, which the company expects to recognize as collaboration revenue in the fourth quarter of 2026. It may also receive up to 7.0 billion US dollars in development, regulatory and sales-based milestones.
The companies will share development and commercialization costs equally and, if the programs reach the market, split global profits equally. For investors, the deal extends the strategic importance of the Sanofi relationship beyond current Dupixent economics, although milestone payments and future products remain dependent on development and regulatory outcomes.
Guidance and upcoming catalysts
Regeneron raised its 2026 GAAP gross-margin outlook on net product sales to approximately 80 percent from a previous range of 78 percent to 79 percent. Non-GAAP gross margin was raised to approximately 86 percent from 84 percent to 85 percent. The company also lifted its capital-expenditure range to 1.050 billion to 1.100 billion US dollars and raised research-and-development spending guidance.
Chief Executive Leonard S. Schleifer said Dupixent, EYLEA HD and Libtayo each delivered record net sales, while the company continues to advance a pipeline of about 50 product candidates. Regeneron expects an FDA decision on cemdisiran in generalized myasthenia gravis in November. Additional pipeline updates are planned for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American Autonomic Society meetings this month.
