- Renault Group kept its 2026 operating-margin and automotive free-cash-flow targets unchanged.
- Electric-vehicle growth and Mobilize Financial Services helped offset weaker vehicle volumes.
- Nine-month revenue increased while total vehicle sales declined year on year.
Renault Group reported resilient third-quarter revenue on Thursday, October 29, 2026, as higher financing revenue and a stronger product mix offset weaker vehicle volumes. In its official Q3 release, the automaker said group revenue rose 1.5 percent year on year to EUR 11.596 billion.
Revenue offsets weaker volumes
Renault Group sales fell 6.0 percent to 497,799 vehicles in the July-to-September period. Automotive revenue was broadly stable at EUR 9.835 billion, compared with EUR 9.839 billion a year earlier, while the business recorded a 0.2 percent decline at constant exchange rates.
Mobilize Financial Services provided a stronger contribution. Revenue in the financing division increased 11.0 percent to EUR 1.761 billion, with growth in new financings and average performing assets supporting the result. The figures show how Renault's wider group structure reduced the effect of lower vehicle registrations on reported revenue.
Electrification supports the product mix
The company said its electric-vehicle offensive continued to improve the sales mix. Renault brand deliveries fell 2.9 percent in the quarter to 349,901 vehicles, but passenger-car sales for the brand increased 6.3 percent in Europe. Across the group, stronger electrified-model demand helped offset competition and pressure on volumes.
For the first nine months, group revenue reached EUR 41.848 billion, up 7.1 percent from the prior-year period and 7.6 percent at constant exchange rates. Total vehicle sales declined 2.2 percent to 1.662 million units, underlining the gap between revenue development and underlying volume growth.
2026 targets remain unchanged
Renault retained its full-year target for an operating margin of about 5.5 percent of group revenue. The group also continues to expect automotive free cash flow of about EUR 1.0 billion. Management indicated that inventory should move toward the lower end of its 525,000-to-550,000-vehicle range by the end of 2026 after reaching 532,000 vehicles at September 30.
The real-time quote of Renault stock traded at 27.51 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:18 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
