Aftermarket agreement runs through 2037
On Wednesday, October 28, Air Europa extended its exclusive Boeing 787 nacelle maintenance agreement with Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, through 2037. The company said the renewed program is designed to improve maintenance planning, parts availability and operational reliability.
Air Europa plans to stage nacelles at its main base and use a forward exchange solution. According to the RTX announcement, the structure should support faster access to parts and more predictable shop-visit planning. For RTX, the agreement extends aftermarket visibility in commercial aerospace, although its financial value was not disclosed.
Dividend adds a shareholder return
On Thursday, October 29, RTX said its board had declared a quarterly cash dividend of 73 cents per outstanding common share. The payment is scheduled for December 10, 2026, to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 20, according to the company release.
The dividend announcement adds a defined cash-return date to the week's aerospace news. It does not change RTX's previously stated operating outlook, but it remains relevant for investors assessing income and capital-allocation priorities.
Earlier outlook remains the backdrop
In its October 20 third-quarter release, RTX reported sales of 25.0 billion US dollars for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, up 11 percent from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share rose 33 percent to 2.26 US dollars, while the company lifted its full-year adjusted sales outlook to 97.0 billion-97.5 billion US dollars and its adjusted EPS outlook to 7.65-7.75 US dollars.
RTX's results release also identified acquisition accounting adjustments, restructuring and other significant or non-recurring items in reported earnings. The adjusted figures therefore require the company's stated reconciliations when investors compare operational performance with GAAP results.
