RWE reported two operational and capital-market developments during the week of October 26 to October 30. The company disclosed an interim report on its German employee share programme and commissioned a battery storage system with Borussia Dortmund.
Employee programme adds market activity
In a release dated October 26, RWE said that 55,000 shares were purchased on Xetra between October 19 and October 23 under its German employee share programme. The purchases comprised 11,000 shares on each trading day. RWE said the cumulative volume acquired under the programme from October 5 through October 23 reached 165,000 shares.
The release is an interim update rather than a new launch of the programme. For investors, it provides a dated view of activity under an existing arrangement and confirms that the purchases were executed through the stock exchange.
Battery project reaches operation
RWE and Borussia Dortmund commissioned a 3.7-megawatt battery storage system at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on October 26, according to RWE. The system can deliver its output for just over an hour and completes the energy concept linking the stadium photovoltaic installation with battery storage.
RWE said the photovoltaic system on the BVB FanWelt roof has more than 5 megawatts of capacity and comprises 11,132 solar modules. The company added that the solar installation can cover up to 45 percent of the stadium's electricity requirements.
Results set the next checkpoint
RWE is due to publish its results for the first three quarters of 2026 on November 11. The company has scheduled an investor and analyst conference call with CFO Michael Muller for the same day, giving investors the next formal checkpoint for earnings, generation and capacity trends.
