Samsung Electronics posted a record third-quarter performance on October 29, 2026, as demand for memory products used in artificial intelligence infrastructure lifted its semiconductor business. The company reported consolidated revenue of KRW 195.3 trillion and operating profit of KRW 107.4 trillion, according to the Samsung Global Newsroom.

Memory business sets the pace

The Device Solutions division generated KRW 147.1 trillion in revenue and KRW 106.5 trillion in operating profit. Samsung said the Memory Business reached another record quarter as server demand and AI applications supported pricing and product sales.

The company highlighted higher sales of HBM4 and server SSDs. For the fourth quarter, it expects competition for AI leadership to sustain infrastructure investment, while demand for products linked to new CPU and GPU platforms and personal AI agents is expected to support the memory market.

Samsung expects AI infrastructure capital expenditure to reach a historic level in 2027 and said AI-driven demand should exceed industry supply compared with 2026. The business plans to expand HBM, server DRAM and SSD sales while pursuing multi-year contracts with customers.

Shareholder returns remain in focus

Samsung set its estimated total shareholder returns for 2026 at KRW 90 trillion to KRW 110 trillion. The third-quarter cash dividend totals KRW 30 trillion, while the company said the remaining funds will include share repurchases, cancellations and cash dividends.

The final amount and execution details are scheduled for a board meeting in late January 2027. That timetable leaves investors focused on the balance between capacity investment, AI-related growth and the distribution of semiconductor cash flow.
