Sanofi reported strong third-quarter results on Friday, October 30, 2026, and raised its full-year outlook. The French drugmaker said sales grew 14.3% at constant exchange rates, while business earnings per share rose 19.6% on the same basis. The company presented the figures in its Q3 2026 results press release.

Dupixent leads commercial momentum

Sanofi said the quarter was driven mainly by its newer medicines and Dupixent. Sales of the immunology treatment increased 34.8% to 5.7 billion euros, exceeding 5 billion euros for the second consecutive quarter. Sales from recent pharmaceutical launches rose 31.4% to 1.4 billion euros, led by ALTUVIIIO, Ayvakit and Rezurock.

The performance was not uniform across the portfolio. Vaccine sales declined 6.6% to 3.2 billion euros, which Sanofi attributed to the expected phasing of respiratory prevention demand. Research and development spending reached 1.8 billion euros and was broadly stable, while selling and general expenses fell 0.9% to 2.3 billion euros. The cost trend supported the increase in business EPS to 3.55 euros; IFRS EPS was 2.52 euros.

Higher targets raise the stakes

Sanofi now expects 2026 sales to grow by a low-teens percentage at constant exchange rates. Business EPS is expected to increase by a mid-teens percentage at constant exchange rates. The company said the upgrade reflects strong commercial and financial momentum.

Chief Executive Officer Belén Garijo said the quarter accelerated Sanofi's transformation and highlighted the contribution from new medicines and Dupixent. She also pointed to two regulatory approvals, one accepted regulatory submission and two additional designations, including priority review and PRIME.

Management is also preparing for the longer-term challenge posed by Dupixent's eventual loss of exclusivity. Sanofi said it is taking steps to improve research and development productivity, while business development and acquisitions will be important to complement the transformation. The company also reaffirmed its progressive dividend policy.
