Published on 10/07/2026 at 09:31 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSShriram Finance (ISIN INE721A01013) was trading at INR 935 on the NSE on October 7, 2026, down 3.11 percent from the prior close of INR 965.05. The move comes as the lender enters the next results cycle with Q1 FY27 net profit of INR 3,447 crore and earnings per share of INR 14.86, according to StockFin.
Q1 profit rises 59.9 percent
For Q1 FY27, Shriram Finance reported revenue of INR 13,400 crore, compared with INR 11,536 crore in Q1 FY26. The increase of 16.2 percent came alongside net profit growth from INR 2,155 crore to INR 3,447 crore, a 59.9 percent increase, based on the quarterly figures published by StockFin.
The operating margin also rose from 25.1 percent in June 2025 to 34.4 percent in June 2026. EPS was INR 14.86 in Q1 FY27, below the INR 16.06 reported for Q4 FY26, so the profit comparison is strongest year over year rather than sequentially.
Debt buyback changes the funding mix
Shriram Finance approved a cash tender offer of up to USD 460 million for senior secured notes due in 2027 and 2028, according to Sahi Markets on September 21, 2026. The transaction covered up to USD 300 million of 6.625 percent notes due in 2027 and USD 160 million of 6.15 percent notes due in 2028.
The same report said the company's capital adequacy ratio reached 34.2 percent on June 30, 2026, compared with 20.4 percent in March 2026. That 13.8 percentage point increase gives the debt action a balance-sheet dimension, although refinancing costs and foreign-exchange movements remain relevant risks for dollar-denominated liabilities.
