Siemens executives and Naver leaders discussed industrial artificial intelligence, digital twins and robotics at meetings in Seoul on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The talks broaden the strategic focus around Siemens' automation and software portfolio but do not establish additional revenue or earnings.
The Herald Business reported on November 2 that Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon and Siemens Group Chairman Roland Busch held a dialogue at the Asia-Pacific German Business Conference in Seoul. The discussion covered industrial AI in manufacturing, energy and mobility, with Busch stressing that the technology creates its full value only when deployed safely and reliably in the field and scaled across industries.
From digital twins to global markets
After the dialogue, Busch and other Siemens executives visited Naver's 1784 headquarters. The companies shared examples of Naver digital-twin technology in industrial settings and discussed combining those applications with Siemens industrial solutions for potential expansion into global markets.
The talks also included Naver's robotics technology and robot foundation models. The discussions build on a June memorandum of understanding between Naver Cloud and Korea Siemens covering industrial automation, digital twins, AI and cloud infrastructure for manufacturing. The companies are also pursuing joint customer development and industry-specific AI transformation projects.
