Sika AG acquired Dubai-based waterproofing membrane maker Duproof on October 26, 2026, adding a local production site to its Middle East network. What the UAE deal adds
Duproof manufactures bituminous waterproofing membranes used in major construction projects in the UAE. Sika plans to distribute the products through its existing UAE network, while Duproof's established customer relationships create potential cross-selling opportunities.
The Dubai facility extends Sika's Middle East manufacturing footprint, which also includes sites in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Sika said the additional capacity should strengthen regional supply capabilities, but it did not disclose the purchase price or Duproof's revenue.
Guidance remains unchanged
The acquisition followed Sika's nine-month report published on October 23. Sales reached CHF 8.71 billion, representing 4.8 percent growth in local currencies, while EBITDA increased 1.9 percent to CHF 1.68 billion. Sika reaffirmed its 2026 guidance for local-currency sales growth of 3 percent to 6 percent and an EBITDA margin of 19.0 percent to 19.5 percent.
