The earlier article therefore incorrectly presented declining group revenue, declining group net income, lower RoTE, higher operating expenses and a worsening cost-to-income ratio. Société Générale’s published H1 2026 figures instead show revenue growth, record group net income, higher RoTE and an improved cost-to-income ratio.
In addition to the incorrect financial figures identified above, certain explanatory statements and analytical comments contained in the earlier article did not accurately reflect Société Générale's published disclosures regarding the drivers of its financial performance, capital position, profitability and strategic objectives.
