Stabilus SE presented preliminary fiscal 2026 figures and lowered its medium-term growth ambition on Thursday, November 5, 2026. In a EQS News release, the company said preliminary revenue, adjusted EBIT margin and adjusted free cash flow were in line with its updated forecast. The same announcement cut the 2030 revenue target and disclosed a proposed lower dividend.

Preliminary figures meet updated forecast

Revenue for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026, reached 1,197.6 million euros, compared with 1,296.1 million euros in fiscal 2025. The adjusted EBIT margin was 10.4%, down from 11.0%, while adjusted free cash flow came to 96.1 million euros against 119.0 million euros a year earlier.

Fourth-quarter revenue declined 4.4% year over year to 302.1 million euros. Adjusted EBIT fell to 28.9 million euros from 34.0 million euros, producing an adjusted EBIT margin of 9.6% compared with 10.8% in the prior-year quarter. Fourth-quarter adjusted free cash flow was 39.5 million euros, below the previous year's 58.7 million euros.

Stabilus said the preliminary full-year figures fulfilled its updated forecast of about 1.15 billion euros in revenue, an adjusted EBIT margin of about 10% and adjusted free cash flow of about 90 million euros. The figures are preliminary and will be finalized with the annual report.

Americas impairment weighs on reported EBIT

The company identified a goodwill impairment of around 67 million euros in connection with the preparation of its annual financial statements. The charge relates to the Americas region and reflects weaker-than-expected demand in parts of that market. Stabilus said the impairment tests were not yet complete or conclusively audited.

The charge is non-cash and treated as a special item excluded from adjusted EBIT. It lowered expected fourth-quarter EBIT to negative 48.1 million euros, compared with 5.5 million euros a year earlier. Full-year EBIT is expected at 63.7 million euros, down 24.4% from 84.3 million euros in fiscal 2025. Management said the impairment does not affect liquidity or adjusted free cash flow.

Lower targets reflect market pressure

Stabilus now expects 2030 revenue of around 1.5 billion euros, compared with its previous target of about 2.0 billion euros. The adjusted EBIT margin target is now a range of 12% to 15%, versus the former 15% objective.

The company linked the revision to reduced revenue expectations in automotive markets in China and North America and lower investment appetite for automotive manufacturing equipment. Chief Executive Michael Büchsner said Stabilus intends to use its broader exposure to robotics, automation and defense to strengthen resilience beyond automotive applications. The company also said it continues to reduce debt.

The Management Board plans to propose a fiscal 2026 dividend of 0.22 euros per share to the Supervisory Board, compared with 0.35 euros for fiscal 2025. Approval by the Supervisory Board and the Annual General Meeting, scheduled for February 3, 2027, is required.
