- Third-quarter revenue rose 1 percent year over year, while adjusted operating income increased to 256 million euros.
- Industrial free cash flow remained negative at 4.0 billion euros, despite improving by 0.3 billion euros from the prior year.
- Management reaffirmed its 2026 guidance and expects positive industrial free cash flow in 2027.
Stellantis reported improving third-quarter results on October 28, but the automaker still faces a demanding cash-flow recovery. In its third-quarter financial release, the company said revenue increased 1 percent year over year to 37.6 billion euros and the net loss narrowed to 453 million euros from 4.532 billion euros a year earlier.
Adjusted operating income rose to 256 million euros from 90 million euros. The resulting adjusted operating margin was 0.7 percent, 0.5 percentage points higher than in the third quarter of 2025. Stellantis said all regions delivered positive adjusted operating margins except Enlarged Europe, where the margin declined year over year.
Recovery Still Meets Cash Pressure
Industrial free cash flow remained negative at 4.009 billion euros in the quarter, although the outflow improved by 0.3 billion euros from the prior year. The company also reported industrial available liquidity of 42.7 billion euros at the end of September, equal to 26 percent of trailing twelve-month revenue and within its stated target range of 25 to 30 percent.
Regional performance was mixed. Revenue increased 3 percent in both Enlarged Europe and South America, while North America declined 3 percent. Stellantis attributed the North American decline to lower volumes and planned production downtime. Asia Pacific revenue fell 7 percent, and Middle East and Africa revenue declined 19 percent.
Management linked the next stage of the recovery to higher consolidated shipments in the fourth quarter, a broadly stable pricing environment and a positive seasonal working-capital contribution. The company also expects value-creation savings to accelerate in the fourth quarter to the mid-hundreds of millions of euros, about twice the amount realized in the third quarter.
Guidance Remains the Investor Test
Stellantis reaffirmed its 2026 outlook for mid-single-digit revenue growth and a low-single-digit adjusted operating margin. It also maintained its expectation of improved industrial free cash flow for 2026 and positive industrial free cash flow in 2027. The guidance includes estimated full-year tariff costs of 1.0 billion euros and about 1.6 billion euros of cash outflows related to charges recorded in the second half of 2025.
Chief Executive Antonio Filosa said the company remained on track to implement at least 40 percent of its 6 billion euro run-rate efficiency target by the end of 2026. The release also points to product launches, manufacturing improvements and partnerships under the FaSTLAne 2030 plan as drivers for the next phase. For investors, the key test is whether stronger fourth-quarter volumes and cost savings can offset remaining cash demands and regional weakness.
