Symrise reported stronger volume momentum in the third quarter on October 28, 2026, while keeping its full-year targets unchanged. The company said organic sales growth reached 5.3 percent, with both operating segments contributing to the performance.
Symrise stock traded at 92.95 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 16:40 CET on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The company’s Q3 2026 release said reported group sales rose to 1,310 million euros from 1,222 million euros in the prior-year quarter. Nine-month sales reached 3,850 million euros, compared with 3,776 million euros a year earlier, while organic growth for the period stood at 3.0 percent.
What has changed since the last report
Taste, Nutrition & Health delivered 5.2 percent organic growth in the quarter, with reported sales of 790 million euros. Scent & Care grew organically by 5.6 percent and generated reported sales of 520 million euros. Pet Food and Care & Wellness returned to growth, adding breadth to the group’s volume-led performance.
Symrise also said its share buyback had reached 4.3 million repurchased shares by the end of September. The program is scheduled to conclude on October 30, 2026, and the company intends to cancel the repurchased shares after completion. This provides investors with a defined capital-allocation milestone alongside the operating update.
Outlook keeps margin in focus
Management reaffirmed its 2026 guidance for organic sales growth of 2 percent to 4 percent, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21.5 percent to 22.5 percent and an adjusted business free cash flow margin above 14 percent. Full-year organic growth is expected near the midpoint of the range, while the adjusted EBITDA margin is expected in the lower half.
Fourth-quarter growth is expected to moderate against higher prior-year comparisons. For investors, the next assessment therefore hinges on whether volume momentum remains broad-based while reinvestment in IT, innovation and people weighs on the margin outcome.
