Teva Pharmaceutical Industries raised its 2026 revenue outlook on Tuesday, November 3, after growth in its branded medicines helped offset weaker generic-drug sales. The company reported the results for the quarter ended September 30 in an official press release.

Branded medicines reshape growth

Revenue fell 2% year over year to 4.395 billion US dollars. The decline mainly reflected increased US competition for generic lenalidomide, while Teva's three key innovative brands generated about 1.1 billion US dollars in combined revenue and grew 33% in local currency.

AUSTEDO revenue rose 21% to 751 million US dollars, AJOVY advanced 61% to 269 million US dollars and UZEDY increased 96% to 85 million US dollars. Teva lifted its full-year revenue targets for all three medicines, pointing to a portfolio mix with greater exposure to branded treatments.

Profitability improves despite pressure

Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share reached 0.86 US dollars, compared with 0.78 US dollars a year earlier. Non-GAAP gross margin increased to 58.7%, up 345 basis points, while adjusted EBITDA rose 7% to 1.496 billion US dollars.

GAAP net income attributable to Teva declined to 233 million US dollars from 433 million US dollars in the prior-year quarter. The company said the adjusted figures exclude items including amortization, legal settlements, restructuring costs, asset impairments and financial expenses.

Pipeline adds medium-term catalysts

Teva said the US launch of WELTRUZA expands its long-acting injectable schizophrenia portfolio. The company also added BXCL-501 from BioXcel Therapeutics and deepened its agreement with Samsung Bioepis to commercialize two additional biosimilars.

For 2026, Teva now expects revenue of 16.7 billion to 17.0 billion US dollars, non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of 1.92 to 2.11 US dollars and free cash flow of 2.1 billion to 2.4 billion US dollars. Investors will focus on whether branded growth can offset generic-price pressure and support the company's stated transformation targets.
