Texas Instruments reported third-quarter revenue of 6.06 billion US dollars on October 21, up 28 percent from a year earlier. The analog-chip maker also pointed to continued demand across industrial, automotive and data-center markets, while its fourth-quarter outlook calls for revenue of 5.80 billion to 6.30 billion US dollars and earnings per share of 2.45 to 2.79 US dollars.

According to the Texas Instruments investor release, third-quarter net income reached 2.43 billion US dollars. The release said revenue increased 11 percent sequentially, with broad growth in industrial, automotive and data-center applications. The outlook therefore keeps factory utilization and end-market demand central to the next earnings update.

New chips target AI infrastructure

Texas Instruments also presented three products aimed at power and signal challenges in AI data centers. Its ADC34DSO75 is a 3 gigasamples-per-second analog-to-digital converter designed for event-based monitoring at nanosecond resolution. The LMI800PS is an isolated 800-volt hot-swap controller, while the LMK6B oscillator addresses timing and signal integrity.

The company announcement said the products are intended to improve monitoring, power delivery and connectivity in high-performance computing facilities. For investors, the launch expands Texas Instruments' exposure to infrastructure spending around artificial intelligence without changing the company's established focus on analog and embedded processing.
